Vinit Nair
Vinit P. Nair, B.Pharm., M.S., has over 10 years of research, consulting, and operational experience. His research experience includes health care policy, pharmacoeconomics, disease state management, and health outcomes. Vinit has also worked on medication errors, pharmacovigilance, and specifically systems for detecting and preventing medication errors and adverse drug events. He has experience working in numerous hospital pharmacy departments including purchasing during his professional training, and has experience in managed care organizations, including Caremark Rx and Cigna Healthcare. He holds appointments as Adjunct faculty of Pharmacy Practice at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Boston) and as Adjunct Instructor of Pharmacy Practice at the University Of Rhode Island College Of Pharmacy. Vinit received his Masters Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago majoring in health care policy and pharmacoeconomics and he completed his Bachelors in Pharmacy at Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, India. He also has published scientific research studies and serves as a reviewer to peer-reviewed journals.
Currently Vinit leads the pharmacovigilance initiative at the University of Miami- Humana Health Services Research Center, which aims to discover new insights in pharmacovigilance research and exploring new frontiers of patient safety.
