Colin D'Arcy, CEBS SPHR

Colin D’Arcy joined Humana in August 2004 as President of Humana’s South Florida Commercial Division. Based in Miramar, D’Arcy oversees and has responsibility for the overall commercial operations of Humana’s South Florida market, as well as develops and implements strategic objectives.

Prior to joining Humana, D’Arcy was senior vice president and South Florida office head for Aon Consulting Worldwide in Miami. In that role, D’Arcy managed and led Aon Consulting’s South Florida operations, delivering the firm’s wide range of consulting services from employee benefits to compensation to human resources outsourcing. During his nearly 20-year tenure in the leadership position, D’Arcy built the largest employee benefits consulting firm in South Florida. In addition, he launched Aon Consulting’s Latin American and Caribbean office in the mid-1990s. As senior vice president and region head for that office, also based in Miami, D’Arcy oversaw nine Aon-owned operations, two joint ventures and 22 correspondent firms.

Before joining Aon Consulting in 1985, D’Arcy served as Latin America and Caribbean area manager for Cigna Corp. in Coral Gables and, was an Account Executive with MetLife’s National Accounts Division in New York City.  He also co-founded and led D’Arcy, Alcantara & Rojas, a Trinidad and West Indies insurance brokerage and employee benefits consulting firm.

D’Arcy received his bachelor of commerce degree in business administration from the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. D’Arcy is a senior professional in human resources and a certified employee benefits specialist.

In the South Florida community, D’Arcy is a member of the board of trustees of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and of the Ft Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the board of advisors for Florida International University’s MBA-Human Resources program, and has served various community and charitable organizations in his long tenure in South Florida.
